Baby Naming Ceremonies

The birth of a baby is such a special time in your life – it is full of joy, celebration and lots of sleepless nights! If you would like to share and cherish this new life with your family and friends then a naming ceremony can offer a charming alternative to a formal religious ceremony for parents wishing to properly welcome their child into the world. Such occasions can be valuable for families who want to bring their child up with their own belief system or indeed let them choose their own path as they grow older.

Celebrant Baby And Naming Services

Creating and presenting naming ceremonies is such a beautiful experience for me as a celebrant, and they are always filled with feelings of pride and joy. It means a lot to be trusted with your special day. My work is truly my passion – I do not use standardised scripts or off-the-shelf packages, every ceremony is unique and I have had the honour of working with families of all shapes and sizes to design unique and meaningful ceremonies that are personal to them.

Choosing god/guide parents for your baby is such an important decision and including them in the ceremony creates some perfect and moving moments. I am here to help with the creation of the personal vows and promises they will make to your child – vows which will last a lifetime.

Your naming ceremony can include any readings, poems, hymns or blessings you desire, and will always be respectful of any spiritual or religious content you might want to include. Baby and naming celebrations are a wonderful way to introduce your child to the world but they hold no legal right and your baby’s birth must still be registered at a local Registry Office.

A Baby Or Naming Ceremony Built Around You

New life is a wonderful, joyous thing to celebrate, with so much hope for the future bundled up in your arms. With you and your family at the heart of the design, together we can construct a ‘welcome to the world’ ceremony that is perfect for your precious new family member.

There are many different elements that we can incorporate into your day, from ‘hopes and wishes’ vows, to family pledges, candlelight promises and the all-important god/guide parent commitments – something I think is particularly personal and meaningful when written by the individual.

Wherever your family’s journey takes you, that journey can take many paths. Families come in many forms and I am proud to be a completely inclusive celebrant that has worked with people from all walks of life.

Your naming ceremony is your day to celebrate family and new life as you please and it is my job to make it as special as possible. In my lifetime, I have seen many modern families grow, change and evolve, as well as new families being made – in celebration of this I also provide ‘Family Naming” ceremonies which I have created especially for children and their parents and step-parents.
